I was born and raised San Jose, and my interest in web design began as a hobby as the internet evolved in the 1990's. By the 2000's, I began learning more HTML and PHP scripts, Photoshop editing techniques, Illustrator designs, and other graphical tools. I have also developed an skills in photography, which has proven to be a useful skill in combination with web design. This has allowed me to create clean, professional websites that are both visually and functionally appealing.
I am a double major in Accounting and Business Administration at Chapman University, and I graduate in May 2010. After graduation, I plan on working in accounting or finance, but this has not restricted my interest in web design, which has been a hobby in my free time.
In high school, I was a volunteer at History San Jose and an active Eagle Scout. At Chapman, I have worked as a student caller for the Chapman Annual Fund, contacting alumni and building rapport with the school, and later took a job as a student assistant in Chapman's Argyros School of Business. In Summer 2009, I worked as the technology intern for San Jose City Councilmember Pete Constant, and two years ago, I was a cash control auditor for Gilroy Gardens Theme Park. I am currently working with the San Jose Redevelopment Agency in the summer months, and I work with Chapman University's technology department during the school year.
Currently, I am managing six websites for businesses and orgazations in California, including the Alum Rock Business Association, Eccobuilders Inc., the Discovery Museum of Eureka, and several websites for Chapman University. I have developed skills in PHP, HTML, CSS, and other related scripts, and I have used them to create a wide variety of layouts. I have used my experience in photography and Adobe Photoshop to aid the creation of my websites, and I am often available as a graphic designer or photographer for my clients.
